Stephanie Grace Prost, PhD
Dr. Prost is an Assistant Professor of Social Work at the University of Louisville. She serves as the Principal Investigator for the Older Adults in Kentucky State Prisons (OAK) Study and the Music Therapy in Correctional Health Care Project. She aims to promote health and quality of life among criminal justice system constituents including persons who are incarcerated, their caregivers, criminal justice professionals, and administrators. She pursues this aim using both quantitative and qualitative methods such as surveys and focus groups. Her future efforts include the development, implementation, and evaluation of tailored interventions aimed at enhancing the quality of life among these groups. She teaches Social Work and Incarceration and Death and Grief in the Raymond A. Kent School of Social Work and Family Science Master of Science in Social Work (MSSW) program.
